Young Eastwood Ryde defender Olivia Coleman will return to the NSW Swifts' senior setup for 2021 as the squad's final Training Partner (TP) for the upcoming Suncorp Super Netball season.
Coleman, who is also a member of the QBE Swifts Academy, was a TP in 2020 but did not travel to the Super Netball Hub in Queensland. She did however play for the Swifts in a pre-season clash against the Giants in Goulburn.
Earlier this week the Swifts named Emily Burgess, Teigan O'Shannassy, Leilani Rohweder and Kelly Singleton as the other TPs for 2021.
Head coach Briony Akle said Coleman had a world-class environment in which to continue her development.
"From a defensive point of view I'm very excited to see how Olivia can grow and learn from the likes of Sarah Klau, Maddy Turner and Lauren Moore.
"Not only that, she will also have another Super Netball player to train alongside in Teigan O'Shannassy. And when you get to pit yourself against the likes of Sam Wallace and Helen Housby, there aren't many tougher tests."
Akle said she was delighted to have her full athlete roster locked in for next year.
"When we come back in January it will be full steam ahead with pre-season," she said.
"Obviously some of our players will have international commitments but the rest of the players will be well into their rhythm when we welcome them back into the fold.
"It's been a crazy year but fingers crossed we'll be able to have smoother preparation, and play games at home in 2021."
