Young gun defender Freddie Schneideman is the second athlete to recommit to the NSW Swifts as a Training Partner for the 2025 Suncorp Super Netball season.
The Australian underage representative, who recently competed for the Aussie 21U side at the Rising Stars Tournament in Fiji, is regarded as one of the best defensive talents in the country.
A Randwick junior, Schneideman came through the Netball NSW Pathway and the QBE Swifts Academy, and was named MVP at the 2024 19U National Netball Championships which NSW won.
In 2024 she earned her first Training Partner contract and is delighted to be back on board for 2025.

“I love being a part of the Swifts and still pinch myself every time I get to defend alongside the likes of Sarah Klau and Maddy Turner, or go up against someone like Helen Housby.
“I am still in the early stages of my netball journey and I can’t think of a better learning environment than training alongside some of the best players in international netball.
“I grew up following the Swifts and having seen Training Partners in recent years go on to not just represent the Swifts, but win titles with them, is a real inspiration.
“What I love most is that you really feel part of the wider team as we push for excellence, and when we win on court all of the Club celebrates collectively - and I’m loving being part of the family.
“SN Reserves was a great competition this year which gave an even better insight into the demands of what it takes to succeed at the top and I really feel that’s elevated my game.
“My teammates and coaches in the QBE Swifts Academy side last year were also a brilliant support and I feel very humble and grateful for this opportunity.”
Swifts Head Coach Briony Akle said she was delighted to have Schneideman in her senior training environment next year.
“I know from having coached at them in years past that it is no mean feat to take out an MVP Award at Nationals, and Freddie was superb this year.
“Not only that, she really held her own when going up against seasoned internationals and Premiership winners in our training sessions and that illustrates a lot of talent and maturity for someone so young.
“Freddie is still only 19 years of age and I feel another year of being exposed to our senior team setup will be hugely beneficial to her.”
Schneideman joins fellow 2024 Training Partner Jess Conlan in recommitting to the Club in 2025. The Swifts will name further Training Partners for next year in due course.
