The NSW Swifts are delighted to announce that Tyrepower have signed on as Major Partners and as the Official Coaches Partner for the Premiers’ 2022 Suncorp Super Netball title defence.
The Tyrepower Group was formed in 1977 by 10 independent tyre retailers with the aim of offering consumers the flexibility, savings and value of an independent dealer network.
The company has now grown to be the largest independent tyre retailer in Australia and New Zealand.
Tyrepower dipped their toes into the Super Netball world with the Swifts last year and loved the experience, and they are delighted to increase their investment in 2022.
“What impressed us most in 2021 was the passion, tenacity and support for not just the Swifts, but the whole netball experience,” said Henk van Diggele, General Manager – Tyrepower.
“It was a new venture for us at the time and we really loved it. There are many shared values between us as a company and what the Swifts stand for and we are delighted upping our support in 2022.
“It’s also special for us to be the Official Coaches Partner as in Briony Akle and Bec Bulley you have not only brilliant sporting minds and tacticians, but top role models.
“To lead the Swifts to a seventh Premiership in the most trying of circumstances in the COVID hubs last year is a testament to their character and the Club’s, and we are excited to be a part of that.”
Tracey Scott, Executive General Manager of the NSW Swifts, welcomed Tyrepower on board for the 2022 season.
“It is wonderful to see such a well-known and respected brand as Tyrepower finding the value in backing women in sport, especially the Swifts who have been the standout leaders for female sports teams in NSW for over 25 years,” she said.
“Having had a taste of what the Club and Super Netball can offer in 2021, they are looking forward to working closer together as we gear up for a full home-and-away season in 2022.”
Netball NSW Executive General Manager of Commercial & Marketing Yael Reed said:
“The Round 1 Grand Final rematch with the Giants will be a special occasion for not just Members and Fans, but all of the Partners who have stuck with the Club over the past two COVID-interrupted years.
“Despite the challenges, partners like Tyrepower see the value in supporting what teams like the Swifts do and that is very heartening as the game rebounds in 2022.”
