The NSW Swifts are delighted to announce that the University of New South Wales has come on board as the team’s Official Education Partner.
In a coming together of one of the State’s most iconic sports teams and one of its most respected education institutions, the partnership will focus on how UNSW can aid the development of pathway athletes in the Swifts program and will also look to provide scholarships to the QBE Swifts Academy.
UNSW is a leading provider of cutting-edge research, teaching and innovation. Ranked 43rd in the in the 2021 QS World University Rankings and boasts more than 64,000 students and a 7,000-strong research community. The institution aspires to improve and transform lives through excellence in research, outstanding education, and a commitment to advancing a just society.
Yael Reed, Executive General Manager of Commercial & Marketing at Netball NSW, said the partnership between the Swifts and UNSW was one of shared values.
“On behalf of the NSW Swifts and Netball NSW I would like to welcome UNSW to the netball family,” she said.
“I think it is very special to have these two iconic brands starting a new partnership and working hand-in-hand to develop future stars of our game.
