The NSW Swifts are excited to announce a new partnership with the Netball Development Academy (NDA), who will deliver NSW Swifts Holiday Clinics for the seven-time Premiers of Australian netball.
NDA offer coaching and development programs for kids of all abilities, with programs delivered by some of the best players and coaches in the business.
In April, NSW Swifts Holiday Clinics - powered by NDA - will run in Curl Curl, Baulkham Hills, Pennant Hills and Sutherland Shire. The NSW Swifts will continue to run one day stand-alone Clinics at Netball Central.
Current Swifts defender and Australian Diamonds invitee Teigan O’Shannassy has helped coach at NDA Clinics in the past and is pumped for the partnership.
“What I love about collaborating with NDA is getting to help players of all abilities who love the game and want to connect with the players they see on TV,” she said.
“You can’t be what you can’t see so any chance we get to connect with grassroots and make connections for life is a win-win for everyone.
“I am really excited to see NDA now delivering NSW Swifts Holiday Camps and can’t wait to see this partnership flourish.”
NSW Swifts Executive General Manager Jeremy Butler echoed O’Shannassy’s sentiments.
“NDA are experts in their field, and their reach is very impressive,” he said.
“We are delighted to work with NDA to introduce more people to the great game of Netball and help them improve their skills in a safe environment where they are active and having fun.
“This model also allows us to connect our elite athletes with the community and create more awareness about the No.1 female sports league in the country, Suncorp Super Netball.”
NDA Director Ashleigh Moore said she was delighted to see this partnership come to life:
“We are combining the power of Australian netball’s most celebrated and successful elite Club with NDA’s coaching and development networks, to reach more young players than ever before and that is really exciting for everyone involved.
“At NDA, we believe that no matter a player’s ability or stage of their netball journey, everyone should have access to high-quality coaching and the chance to learn from the best—building inspiration, confidence, and lifelong connections to the game.
“This new model expands the Swifts’ reach into more communities, with NDA powering the on-ground experience and delivery of NSW Swifts Holiday Clinics through staffing, coaching, operations, and elite-level program delivery.”
