The NSW Swifts have finished third at the 2025 Suncorp Team Girls Cup, defeating the Melbourne Mavericks 51 - 49 at full time.
Having previously missed two power shots during the game, Helen Housby showed why she is considered one of the greatest clutch moment players, sinking two power shots in the fourth quarter to take the NSW Swifts into the lead.
Teigan O'Shannassy was also very impressive as Goal Keeper, finding many the ball many times in what was a tightly contested game.
Grace Whyte showed why she is considered 'great talent' with her movement and shots in the circle at Goal Attack.
"The Team Girls' Cup is always a great time to meet all the other teams, see where you're at," Swifts defender Sarah Klau said.
"We're less than three weeks out from commencing the season, so we really wanted to go out there to try out our different. We really improved and everyone who went out there gave their all.
"To win three out of four was a pretty good effort, but there's still lots to learn from over these next few weeks - we'll definitely come out in round one firing."
The Adelaide Thunderbirds won the 2025 Team Girls Cup at Netball SA Stadium, defeating West Coast Fever by one goal.
