The Suncorp Super Netball League has released a condensed fixture for the remaining three rounds of the home and away season and confirmed dates for the Finals series.
Mid-week matches are a highlight of the Round 12 fixture, with double headers to be played at Brisbane’s Nissan Arena on Tuesday 27 July and Wednesday 28 July.
The league is working through ticketing, with the aim to have as many matches open to fans as possible.
All matches will be broadcast on Channel 9 or Telstra TV and via the Netball Live app, giving fans across the country the opportunity to watch the world’s best netball league live.
First up for the Swifts is a clash with the Collingwood Magpies at Brisbane's Nissan Arena on Tuesday afternoon (27 July) at 3.30pm AET. The Round 12 fixture will be broadcast live on Nine GEM and is a home game for the Magpies.
The Swifts then have a week's respite before two games in the space of four days. They will host the Adelaide Thunderbirds in Round 13 at Nissan Arena on Wednesday 4 August (3.30pm AET - live on Nine GEM) and finish the regular season with another home tie against the Sunshine Coast Lightning at USC Stadium on Saturday 7 August (12.30pm AET - live on Channel Nine).
The Swifts currently sit second on the competition ladder, just behind local rivals Giants Netball on goal percentage, with the Lightning sitting in third.
The league has also confirmed dates for the Finals series, with Semi-Finals to be played back-to-back on Saturday 14 August.
The Preliminary Final will be contested on Saturday 21 August, before the Grand Final on Saturday 28 August.
The league is working through venues for the Finals series and will provide an update as soon as possible.
Nikki Horton, Executive General Manager of the Swifts, said the team was glad to have some clarity.
"I'd like to thank all our players, staff, fellow Super Netball clubs and of course the league for keeping the 2021 season alive in very challenging circumstances," she said.
"I know our players and coaches are delighted to have a schedule to work towards, as well as the ability to train and play in safe surroundings.
"We are continuing to work with Netball Australia regarding an exemption for our head coach Briony Akle and our physio once their isolation period in Adelaide ends early next week and hope to have an update on that in the coming days."
Netball Australia CEO Kelly Ryan added: “We have worked closely with all eight teams, as well as broadcasters and other partners, to lock in the fixture for the remaining three rounds of the home and away season.
“There is no doubt it has been challenging, but we continue to adapt under the circumstances.”
“I’d like to thank our teams, staff, umpires and stakeholders, including broadcasters, for their sacrifice and determination.”
