This National Volunteer Week, the NSW Swifts are taking the time to acknowledge and recognise our Super Helpful 60+ volunteers who support the Club all year round.
The week is Australia’s largest annual celebration of volunteering. The 2026 theme is 'Your Year to Volunteer', encouraging people to find roles fitting their skills and schedule, while aligning with the United Nations International Year of Volunteers.
The main purpose is to recognise and thank volunteers and honour the existing and future contributions that make 2026 a year of meaningful involvement.
From the familiar court moppers to the volunteers greeting fans and handing out posters before matches, these individuals help create the welcoming atmosphere supporters experience at every home game.
The strength of the Swifts community comes from people who generously give their time simply because they love the game and the community around it.
The efforts of the Club’s volunteers are a constant source of pride and while National Volunteer Week is a chance to formally say thank you, the appreciation for their work extends far beyond one week of the year.
The next time you see a volunteer at a Swifts home game, be sure to give them a wave or thank them for everything they do. The Club would not be what it is without their support!
