The two sides have already produced one thriller this season, with the Lightning edging the Swifts 66-65 in Round 3. It continues a trend of close contests between the teams, with the past two meetings both decided by a single goal.
The Swifts welcome back Centurion Paige Hadley, who sat out the start of the 2026 campaign after welcoming her first child in February, and will also celebrate Sarah Klau’s 150th match.
Klau debuted in 2016 with the Adelaide Thunderbirds before joining the NSW Swifts ahead of the inaugural Super Netball season in 2017.
Both teams will be looking to improve their finishing power heading into Round 9. The fourth quarter has proven challenging for each side this season, with both teams winning just two final quarters.
With recent history pointing towards another nail-biter, fans can expect a fiercely contested battle as the Swifts look to return to the winner’s circle.
The match will take place at 5pm (AEST) on Saturday 9 May at Ken Rosewall Arena. NSW Swifts fans can watch from home on Kayo Sports, Binge or Foxtel.
