The NSW Swifts have locked in two-time Premiership winner Tayla Fraser for the upcoming Super Netball season.
Since returning to Sydney last year, the versatile midcourter has become a senior member of the squad, stepping into the Club Captain role and continuing to set the standard both on and off the court.
Fraser said being back at the Swifts had reinforced how much the Club means to her.
“This Club is my home, the team I grew up supporting and I’m so excited to stay here for another year,” Fraser said.
“I've really enjoyed taking on a leadership role within the Club and the opportunity to contribute in a different way. I love challenging myself, finding ways to keep improving and supporting the people around me.
“To continue building with this group, helping the next generation and chasing success together is something I'm incredibly excited about.”
Swifts Head Coach Dylan Nexhip said Fraser's leadership and competitiveness had made a significant impact since she rejoined the Club.
“From the moment Tayla returned, she has embodied the values and standards we want this Club to represent,” Nexhip said.
“She is a fierce competitor who embraces every challenge put in front of her and brings a level of determination and support that lifts those around her.
“What stands out about Tay is how much she cares. She invests in her teammates, supports the people around her and always puts the team first.
“Her connection to the Swifts, understanding of our pathway and passion for this Club make her a really important part of what we're building moving forward.”
The Swifts will make further 2027 player announcements in due course.
