It’s fast food that athletes say yes to and the NSW Swifts are excited to welcome Guzman y Gomez (GYG) on board as Official Supply Partners in 2024.
One of the most popular fast-food companies nationwide, this year GYG will be refuelling the Swifts at the end of every Suncorp Super Netball game.
The first GYG restaurant opened in Sydney’s Newtown in 2006 and the brand has since opened restaurants in Singapore, Japan and the United States.
Kath Tetley, Executive General Manager of the Swifts, said she thought the partnership was a brilliant fit for the Club.
“Guzman y Gomez don’t just provide healthier fast-food options that are ideal post-game meals for athletes like the Swifts, they are a fun brand to work with,” she said.
“They grew from humble beginnings in Sydney to be leaders in their space so there is a nice parallel with how the Swifts came about too.
“Teamwork is a key part of their ethos, and there is no sport more built on teamwork than netball.
“Post-game meals need to be of high quality and must provide our players with what they need to recover after big games. GYG provides this and their meals taste great.”
A GYG Spokesperson said they were delighted to join forces with the seven-time Premiers of Australian netball.
“GYG fed the Swifts before and after both their Grand Final wins in recent years, it’s a bit of a bragging right that our team carry with us. We have had an incredible relationship with the Swifts in recent years and we’re excited for our relationship to continue,” they said
