Former NSW underage captain Audrey Little will return to the NSW Swifts senior setup as a Training Partner (TP) for the 2024 Suncorp Super Netball season.
A national champion at 19U level with NSW and a nationally ID’d athlete, this year will mark Little’s second season as a Swifts TP.
A Manly Warringah midcourter who also tasted Netball NSW Premier League success with the Sapphires in 2023, Little is a graduate of the QBE Swifts Academy which underpins the senior Swifts environment.
The 20-year-old said taking the court daily with seasoned international players still made her pinch herself.
“I just love being part of this Club and testing myself against the likes of Paige Hadley and Maddy Proud in the middle is pretty awesome,” Little said.
“It is my dream to become a fully capped Swift myself, and push for international honours one day, so to see how they operate and hone their craft is invaluable.
“My netball journey is still in its early stages and I want to prove to myself and the team that I’m ready for an opportunity when and if it arises.
“The Swifts have shown in the past how important it is to keep TPs ready to roll in if they are needed in big games.
“I previous seasons I loved watching how the likes of Sophie Craig, Tayla Fraser, Kelea Iongi and Lili Gorman-Brown all stepped up to play key roles when required.
“I am ready to do whatever I can do to help advance the Swifts on court and return them to the top of Aussie netball. To me there is no bigger or exciting role than that.”
