Double Premiership-winning NSW Swifts defenders Sarah Klau and Maddy Turner have been selected in the Australian Diamonds squad which will contest the Quad Series in London in January.
The pair were selected alongside West Coast Fever's Courtney Bruce and Sunday Aryang and Melbourne Vixen Jo Weston, and will form the Australians' defensive unit for the series.
Klau, Bruce and Weston most recently represented the Diamonds during the Constellation Cup against New Zealand in March.
Turner's call-up comes after she debuted in the 2019 Constellation Cup. Turner and Klau join Swifts co-captain in the squad while fellow double-Swifts champion Sophie Garbin - who move to Collingwood on the off-season - has also made the cut.
Diamonds head coach Stacey Marinkovich said: “Connection is incredibly important for our defensive line-up and I’m excited to see what these athletes can do against our biggest rivals in January.”
The Diamonds will take on the England Roses, the New Zealand Silver Ferns and South Africa’s Proteas at London’s Copper Box Arena from 16-20 January, 2022.
The four sides will go head-to-head once, with a third and fourth place game and a final to decide the winner of the Quad Series trophy.
