2023 NSW Swifts co-captain and multiple Club Premiership Champion Paige Hadley has been named vice-captain of the Australian Diamonds for the upcoming Constellation Cup Test Series against the New Zealand Silver Ferns.
The Swifts Centurion, who recently became a double World Cup winner and Commonwealth Games Gold Medalist, takes over the Vice-Captaincy from Steph Wood who has retired from international netball.
Hadley, who was the stand-in Captain when Australia won a Test Series over England on home soil late last year, will now serve as deputy to long-standing national skipper Liz Watson.
The Diamonds have their sights set on claiming back-to-back Constellation Cup title this year and the Series will be an opportunity for Australian athletes to put their hand up as the four-year cycle building towards the 2027 Netball World Cup in Sydney begins.
