NSW Swifts centurions Paige Hadley and Sarah Klau have been included in a 15-strong Australian Diamonds squad to take on the England Roses next month, with three possible debutants in line for selection.
Rudi Ellis has been elevated from an invitee to the squad, and will be pushing to make her debut in the green and gold alongside new squad members Georgie Horjus and Ash Ervin.
Captain Liz Watson will be joined by vice captain Hadley, Kate Moloney, Amy Parmenter and Jamie-Lee Price in the midcourt.
Defenders Ellis and Ervin have been selected alongside Klau, Sunday Aryang and Matilda Garrett.
Goalers Horjus, Cara Koenen, Kiera Austin, Sophie Garbin and Sophie Dwyer round out the England Series squad.
Courtney Bruce and Joanna Weston were unavailable for selection for the England Series due to injury, but are expected to push for selection for the Constellation Cup in October.
“We are really excited to bring the squad together in Canberra as we begin to combine and connect new combinations in preparation for the England Series,” said Diamonds head coach Stacey Marinkovich.
“We will continue to explore our depth and versatility across the court and work to transfer this to the international arena.
“This is the beginning of a new four-year performance cycle leading into the 2027 Netball World Cup in Sydney so we will be methodical in our build and development of our group.”
The first match of the England Series will be played at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre on Thursday 19 September at 7:00pm AEST.
The Diamonds and the Roses will then go head-to-head at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena on Sunday 22 September at 4:00pm AEST.
The third and final match of the series will be played in Bendigo on Wednesday 25 September at 7:00pm AEST, in partnership with Visit Victoria and supported by the City of Greater Bendigo.
The England Series and the Constellation Cup will be broadcast live and exclusive in Australia on Fox Sports, available on Kayo Freebies and Foxtel.
