The reigning champion NSW Swifts will back up their 2020 Suncorp Super Netball Round 3 clash against the Adelaide Thunderbirds with a blockbuster Grand Final rematch versus the Sunshine Coast Lightning on Sunday.
Super Netball today released the fixtures for Rounds 4-6 of the revised competition, with all eight teams currently in Queensland due to Covid19 outbreaks in Victoria and New South Wales.
Following on from Wednesday's meeting with Adelaide the Swifts are facing three games in seven days with the Round 4 Lightning clash coming before clashes against the Queensland Firebirds (Tuesday 18 August) and the Collingwood Magpies (Saturday 22 August).
The Premiers have won the opening two games of their 2020 campaign, defeating the Giants and West Coast Fever.
Head coach Briony Akle said every team was learning how to cope with the new realities of the revised competition.
"It's like we've gone back to the future and everyone is playing underage National competitions again with so many games in a short space of time," she said.
"As I've said before, everyone is in the same boat and we are lucky to have larger squads so players don't get over-loaded.
"Don't get me wrong, this is by no means and ideal situation, but they are the cards 2020 has dealt us and our processes just have to adapt to the environment we're in.
"From all of our meetings last year we know what the Lightning will bring but they also have the element of surprise, and the Firebirds have a great record against us in Brisbane so we've got some huge challenges ahead.
"I also thought the Magpies looked really impressive against the Lightning over the weekend so every day will be a big test of our roster.
"But before that we've got Adelaide, who played a fantastic game against the Giants last time out. They have been building and improving season by season of late. They should have beaten us last year so we are very aware of what they can do."
Of the fixtures listed below, the ties against the Thunderbirds and Magpies are classified as home games for the NSW Swifts.
