The NSW Swifts have bolstered their midcourt, signing dynamic playmaker Jordan Cransberg for the 2027 Super Netball season.
The 26-year-old made her Super Netball debut for the West Coast Fever against the Swifts in Round 9, 2023 as a replacement player.
A key contributor to the Fever’s 2025 campaign, Cransberg started at centre in the Grand Final and joins the Swifts with 44 national league appearances to her name.
A versatile player, Cransberg has the ability to impact the game across all three midcourt positions. Her speed, relentless work rate and ability to seamlessly connect the attacking and defensive ends have become hallmarks of her game.
After four seasons in Perth, Cransberg said she is excited about the opportunity to move East and connect with new Swifts Head Coach Dylan Nexhip.
“It’s definitely bittersweet not playing alongside my twin sister Zoe next season, but I’m ready for a new challenge and can’t wait to get to Sydney and get started with the team,” Cransberg said.
“The Swifts are Club with such a proud history and there’s a really strong culture around the team. I’m looking forward to bringing what I’ve learnt in Perth, challenging myself in a new environment and continuing to grow.
“I’m really looking forward to this next chapter and can’t wait to get to Sydney and get started.”
Swifts Head Coach Dylan Nexhip said Cransberg’s energy, athleticism and ability to influence the game at both ends of the court would add another dimension to the Club’s midcourt.
“Jordan has continued to grow into a really impressive Super Netball player and we’ve been watching her progression closely,” Nexhip said.
“She brings great speed and energy to the midcourt, she works incredibly hard and she has the ability to transition quickly from defence into attack.
“What really stood out to us throughout the recruitment process was Jordan’s values, her commitment to high performance and her drive to keep improving.
“She understands the standards required to be a high-performance athlete and, importantly, she is willing to live those standards every day.
“We’ve seen first-hand the impact Jordan can have at Ken Rosewall Arena, causing plenty of problems for us in that green dress. We’re now really excited to see her bring that same energy, competitiveness and intent to the Swifts.
“Jordan is coming into an environment with a group of athletes who are committed to getting better every day, and we’re looking forward to helping her continue to develop her game and make her mark in red.”
The Swifts have now signed nine of their 10-strong roster with Cransberg joining Paige Hadley, Helen Housby, Tayla Fraser, Grace Whyte, Sarah Klau, Rudi Ellis, Lucy Voyvodic and Mary Cholhok for 2027.
The Club will announce the final contracted player for 2027 in the coming days.
