The NSW Swifts were on hand to coach and support last Friday as Netball NSW hosted the organisation's annual Corporate Challenge at Netball Central in Sydney Olympic Park.
Head Coach Briony Akle as well as star players Paige Hadley, Maddy Proud, Maddy Turner, Sophie Fawns and Allie Smith were on board alongside a host of Club Partners for the fun-filled afternoon of 'semi-competitive' netball, which also doubled as a networking event for everyone involved.
Swifts Principal Partner QBE Insurance led the way with four teams, while there were teams from HCF, The Kids' Cancer Project, People + Culture Strategies, CourtCraft and HCF. Giants Netball partners FDC Construction also took part.
The Grand Final was contested by QBE and HCF with the latter wining the 2024 title by a two-goal margin.
Jeremy Butler, Executive General Manager of the Swifts, thanked the Club's Commercial Partners who helped make the event such a success.
"We are nothing without the support of our Partners and we were delighted to invite their staff members into Netball Central for the day.
“The games took place on the same courts that the NSW Swifts train on, and it was great to see so many guests enjoying the experience.
"Our head coach Briony Akle and our players were delighted to join in the fun and provide some advice and sign autographs throughout the day.
“The day was a great example of how our sport brings people together and we are already looking forward to seeing everyone again next year.
“I would also like to take the opportunity to thank our great staff at NSW Swifts and Netball NSW for delivering such a great event.”
Butler also took the opportunity to show his appreciation for the crucial role the NSW Swifts partner’s play in the club’s success.
"The 2025 Suncorp Super Netball season promises to be the biggest and best yet and I would like to take this opportunity to thank our Commercial Partners for all of their support in 2024,” he added.
“We are really looking forward to what the next 12 months will bring for us and them in the near future."
