Samantha, or Mayo as she is affectionately known, started her netball career at Baulkham Hills Shire Netball Association at the age of 10.

A talented defender, Sam has represented New South Wales since 2003; with her performance at the 2008 Netball Australia 21 and Under National Championships earning her a spot in the Australian 21 and Under side.

Sam spent two years at the AIS (2007 and 2008) studying her craft and made her debut for the NSW Swifts in 2009.

Playing nine games for the NSW Swifts in 2009 has whetted her appetite for the ANZ Championship. With a strong pre-season under her belt, opponents will need to watch out for her anticipation and strong circle defence.
